Mets 18U Win National Championship

Congratulations to the Mets 18U team as they won the National Championship 5-4 over Quebec. Catcher Tyler Patzalak hit a run-scoring fly ball to give Ontario the win in the bottom of the 10th.

Quebec took the lead in the top of the 10th, but singles by Skye Irwin, Maxx Tissenbaum and Jon Slattery tied it. After Ryan Panas walked, Patzalak knocked in the game winner. Matt Jebb was dominant and recorded 12 strikeouts.

Mets 18U Win Midget Eliminations

Congratulations to the Mets 18U team as they won the Ontario Eliminations. Leslie Williams pitched a complete game as the Mets edged the Mississauga North Tigers 3-1 to win the midget elimination tournament in Burlington.

Mets 18U Win Ontario Baseball Championship

Congratulations to the Mets 18U team as they won the Ontario Baseball Championship. Jesse Bartle had four hits to help the Mets beat Pickering 8-7.

The Mets played three games in eight hours. Preston Rauh Wasmund, Andrew Ledger, Matthew Jebb, Miles Verweel and Jake Eliopoulos picked up wins.

The tourney concluded a streak in which the Mets won 18 games in 24 days, earning gold in the Ontario eliminations tournament, Canada Cup and the midget championships.
