
Jason Chee-Aloy - Field Manager
Jason has been the Field Manager of the 18U Team since its inception back in 2005. Under his direction, the Mets have experienced tremendous success winning numerous Canadian and Provincial Championships including placing 18 players on Collegiate scholarships and one in the Major League Draft.
In recognition of his accomplishments, Jason will be the Field Manager of the 2009 Ontario Summer Games Team. He has also been the Field Manager of the Ontario Youth Team (2005 - 2008), which won 3 Golds, 1 Bronze and placed 48 of 76 players to Team Canada’s Junior National Team roster.
Prior to the Mets, Jason was the Field Manager for Team Ontario from 1999 - 2002. During his tenure the team semi-finalled in the 2001 NABF Under 18 World Series and placed 5th (out of 50) in the Perfect Game. In addition to team accomplishments, Jason is most proud of the individualy accomplishments of his players. Sixteen (16) were named to the Canadian Junior National Team and 22 former players participated in the National Team’s April camp in Florida. Seventeen were drafted to the Majors from 2000 to 2002 and over 30 players accepted athletic scholarships throughout US and Canada including Notre Dame, University of Houston, Purdue and University of British Columbia.
Jason has been the Supervisor of Ontario scouting for the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau since 2003. He is the recipient of Baseball Canada's Lionel Ruhr (Coach of the Year) award in 2006 and was also the winner of Baseball Ontario's President's Award (Coach of the Year) in 2005.
Prior to coaching, Jason played baseball in Ontario for 10 years, winning the OBA Championship two times and was a bronze medalist at the Canada Baseball Championships.
