John Jepson - General Manager

John is responsible for all business and administrative details for the organization which operates two PBLO teams. This includes the creation and administration of team operating budgets, team travel arrangements, scheduling and purchasing.

John is the team representative on PBLO board of directors as well as the TBA board. He also represents the METS at Baseball Canada tournament meetings, and organizes the highly successful annual METS Canada Day Tournament

John was the Business Manager of the Ontario Youth Team, which won gold in 2006, 2008 and bronze in 2007.

John is a fully certified level 2 coach.  He managed and coached at bantam through junior levels from 1980 - 2004. He has six provincial championships and five National Gold Medal championships (2 junior 2 midget 1 bantam).

Jason Chee-Aloy - Director of Baseball Operations

Jason moved into the role of Director of Baseball Operations after a very successful stint as the Field Manager of the 18U Team since its inception back in 2005 until 2010. Under his direction, the Mets have experienced tremendous success winning numerous Canadian and Provincial Championships including placing 18 players on Collegiate scholarships and one in the Major League Draft.

In recognition of his accomplishments, Jason was also the Field Manager of the 2009 Ontario Summer Games Team.  He has also been the Field Manager of the Ontario Youth Team (2005 - 2008), which won 3 Golds, 1 Bronze and placed 48 of 76 players to Team Canada’s Junior National Team roster.

Prior to the Mets, Jason was the Field Manager for Team Ontario from 1999 - 2002. During his tenure the team semi-finalled in the 2001 NABF Under 18 World Series and placed 5th (out of 50) in the Perfect Game. In addition to team accomplishments, Jason is most proud of the individualy accomplishments of his players. Sixteen (16) were named to the Canadian Junior National Team and 22 former players participated in the National Team’s April camp in Florida. Seventeen were drafted to the Majors from 2000 to 2002 and over 30 players accepted athletic scholarships throughout US and Canada including Notre Dame, University of Houston, Purdue and University of British Columbia.

Jason has been the Supervisor of Ontario scouting for the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau since 2003.  He is the recipient of Baseball Canada's Lionel Ruhr (Coach of the Year) award in 2006 and was also the winner of Baseball Ontario's President's Award (Coach of the Year) in 2005. 

Prior to coaching, Jason played baseball in Ontario for 10 years, winning the OBA Championship two times and was a bronze medalist at the Canada Baseball Championships. 

Bob Roberts - 16U Field Manager

Bob Roberts has been the field manager of the Toronto Mets 16U team since 2008. With a strong history and reputation for developing young players, Bob has been coaching and managing in the Toronto Baseball Association (Scarborough and North York) for 37 years. A fully certified level 2 coach, his experience includes age groups from T-ball to Junior, and everything in between.

A number of Bob's teams have enjoyed considerable success along the way:

  • Coach 1992 NY Juniors who won the elims and represented Ontario at Canadian National Championships.
  • Coach 1996 NY Juniors, the Canadian National Gold Medal champions.
  • Field manager/head coach 2003 NY Bantams, the Canadian National Gold Medal Champions.
  • Managed and helped develop current Toronto Blue Jays 3rd Round pick Marcus Knecht at North York

Coach Roberts epitomizes the Mets philosophy of using the entry level 16U year to teach and develop. He believes strongly in a fair distribution of playing time and opportunities and a balance between playing and practicing
