Team Canada![]() Greg Densem and Brett Sanders in Mexico with Team Canada ![]() Team CanadaIn the short time that the Toronto Mets have been in existence, numerous players have had the opportunity to participate at higher levels of baseball as they develop their skills. One, if not the highest level of Amateur acheivement in Canada is participating in Baseball Canada's National Junior team development camps and tournaments. Through the tireless work of Canada's Junior National Team Coach Greg Hamilton and his staff, development camps take place throughout the year in places such as the Mizuno Elite Camp at Rogers Centre, Disney's Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Training Camp in Cuba and Dominican Repulic, USA Baseball Complex in Cary, North Carolina, and others. Below is a list of the 22 Mets that have been a part of this program to date. The next Junior National Team Camp will start on March 4, 2012 and will be the Junior programs 2nd annual Alumni week in Florida. With having qualified for the World Junior Championships in Korea during the summer of 2012, this camp will start the process of selecting the sqaud that will represent Canada. The Jr Nats will play a mix of Senior National Teams (Netherlands), Junior Colleges (St. Petes) and MLB Spring Training Teams (Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies).
