Brodey Bitove Commits to Pepperdine University

Toronto Mets 2024 Outfielder Brodey Bitove has announced his commitment to NCAA Division I Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA.

The Toronto native is coming off a stellar year with the 17U Mets with saw him with an impressive slash line of  .388/.521/.653 for an OPS of 1.174.  Bitove capped off his summer with by being selected to the Toronto Blue Jays Canadian Futures Showcase for the second consecutive year as well as being selected to his second CPBL All-Star Game and was ultimately chosen to represent the CPBL in the 2023 Perfect Game WWBA in Jupiter, Florida in October.

After a strong showing at the 17U WWBA in July, Bitove had a number of collegiate options but in the end he chose to compete for the Blue Waves.  

Brodey is the 5th Division I commit for the Mets 2024 class,  joining LHP Ryan Press (West Virginia University), RHP RJ James (Evansville University),  RHP Luke Glenn (Niagara University) and OF Dante Smith (North Dakota State)

Brodey is the son of Jordan and Nicole Bitove and will graduate from The Benjamin School in the spring.
