Toronto Mets Announce Program Expansion: New Teams Joining CPBL Prospect Division for 2027
The Toronto Mets are thrilled to announce that we are expanding our program for the Fall of 2027! Following the Canadian Premier Baseball League’s (CPBL) unveiling of the new Prospect Division, we are excited to be adding these teams on top of our existing Premier Division structure.
Our flagship Premier teams (13U–18U) will continue their high-performance schedule as usual. These additional Prospect teams allow us to bring the "Mets Way" of development to even more athletes, providing a complete year-round baseball experience.
A Comprehensive Year-Round Calendar
Joining the Toronto Mets means a commitment to elite development across all four seasons. Our expanded program for both Premier and Prospect divisions includes:
Fall Ball (September – October): Focused on outdoor game play and situational development to wrap up the field season.
Winter Training (November – April): Intensive indoor development three days a week at our state-of-the-art facilities, focusing on strength, conditioning, and high-level skill work.
Spring/Summer Season (May – August): A competitive 30 to 32-game CPBL schedule, culminating in a playoff run to celebrate our athletes' achievements.
New Teams, More Opportunities
The Toronto Mets are happy to confirm we are adding a team at every level of the new division. For the 2027 season, we are looking for dedicated players for our new squads in the following age groups:
14U Prospect Team (2012 & 2013 birth years)
16U Prospect Team (2010 & 2011 birth years)
With a maximum roster size of 16 players, we guarantee the high-frequency playing time and focused coaching that defines our program. Additionally, Prospect players will have the opportunity to serve as Affiliate Players for our Premier Division teams, creating a clear internal pathway for growth and high-level competition.
