INTRODUCING THE TORONTO CYCLONES: A NEW ERA OF TOURNAMENT BASEBALL

We're proud to announce the launch of our new Winter Tournament Teams—the Toronto Cyclones—an exciting evolution of last year’s Jr. Mets Tournament Team initiative.

Inspired by the New York Mets' AA affiliate, the Brooklyn Cyclones, our Toronto Cyclones program brings a new level of focus, intensity, and competition to offseason baseball.

This year, our winter tournament players will train exclusively with their tournament team teammates, a step up from last year’s integrated model. This allows for greater team cohesion, targeted preparation, and an elite-level training environment.

Each Cyclones team will:

  • Compete in 3 high-level U.S. tournaments: two in Ohio or Michigan (Fall and Spring), and one over March Break in either Florida or Arizona.

  • Train 2x per week indoors from November to April, including a built-in Strength & Conditioning programrunning from November through January.

  • Potentially participate in Fall games and practices depending on team schedules and weather.

Important Age Eligibility Note
Players must register and play based on the U.S. May 1st age cutoff, not the Canadian year-end system.

Player Commitment
This is a full tournament team commitment. Players must be available for all three tournaments. If you’re a multi-sport athlete—particularly in rep hockey—you may find the tournament schedule conflicts with your season. Not to worry—you can still receive top-tier training through our Jr. Mets Development Program, which runs 2 nights a weekall winter long and is open to all high-level athletes.

📍Tryout Dates:

  • July 29 – 6:00 PM

  • August 5 – 6:00 PM

  • August 10 – 4:00 PM

  • August 12 – 6:00 PM

  • August 17 – 4:00 PM

✅ Players must attend a minimum of one tryout to be eligible for selection.
