by Duncan Watt

Two Toronto Mets Alumni have won a championship in the Arizona Fall League.

LHP Mitch Bratt (2021) and C Liam Hicks (2017) were members of the Surprise Saguaros squad who finished first in the regular season and capped off the fall with a 6-5 win over Peoria in the AFL Championship game.

Bratt made 6 appearances for Surprise with 17 K's in 15.1 IP.

Hicks Led the AFL in OB% at .553 and was second in OPS at 1.075.

Both players were 2021 draft picks of the Texas Rangers and will be moving into their 4th year of pro ball in 2024.

The Arizona Fall League is owned and operated by MLB which operates at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball who are assigned by their parent clubs.

The Saguaros roster also featured fellow CPBL alums RHP Eric Cerantola (GLC 2018) and OF Dasan Brown (OBJ 2019).
