Mets Alumni Greg Lachance Commits to Illinois

Toronto Mets Alumni SS Greg Lachance (2022) has committed to the University of Illinois in Champaign, Illinois.

The Whitby native is entering his sophomore season at Jefferson College in Hilsboro, Missouri.  He is currently teammates with former Mets 3B Cole Iantomasi (2022), RHP Griffin Catto (2022) and C/OF Jacob Miller (2022).  The Mets have a long history at Jeffco including 2017 grad OF Matt Turino (University of Tennessee) and 2018 grad IF Leo Markotic (Texas A&M Corpus Christie).

At Illinois he will join up with Mets Alumni RHP Parker Burgess and compete for the Fighting Illini who are members of the Big 10 Conference.

Greg is the son of Pete (Pistol) and Nancy Lachance and will graduate from Jeffco in the spring.
