PERFECT IN THE PARK: 13U METS CROWNED 2026 CPBL CHAMPIONS

The Toronto Mets 13U squad capped off an unforgettable weekend by capturing the CPBL Championship, putting together an undefeated 5-0 run to take home the title. In just the second year of the 13U division's inclusion in the CPBL, the Mets proved they are the team to beat, showing elite resilience, high-octane offense, and clutch pitching under challenging circumstances.

Weather tested every team from the opening pitch. Heavy rain across the region forced tournament organizers to pivot from the traditional double-elimination format to a high-stakes round-robin setup. With zero room for error, the Mets stepped up to the plate and delivered five consecutive victories.

The Championship Run

  • Game 1 vs. Windsor Selects (9-5 Win): The offense set the tone early, combining aggressive base running with timely hitting to overcome the Selects in a solid tournament opener.

  • Game 2 vs. Ontario Blue Jays (5-0 Win): A Masterclass on the mound. The Mets pitching staff and defense were immaculate, shutting out a tough OBJ lineup to move to 2-0.

  • Game 3 vs. Fieldhouse Pirates (8-7 Win): The game of the tournament. In a thrilling back-and-forth battle for top spot in Pool B, the Mets delivered late-game heroics, earning a walk-off victory to secure the pool's top seed.

  • Semifinals vs. Great Lake Canadians (4-2 Win): With a trip to the finals on the line, disciplined defense and clutch late-inning pitching propelled the Mets past a strong GLC squad.

  • Championship Game vs. Terriers (10-6 Win): The offense exploded when it mattered most. The Mets outslugged the Terriers in a high-intensity final, holding off a late push to lock up the CPBL Championship banner.
